All uniformed officers who are required to be equipped with body worn cameras will wear them on the front, center chest area of their uniform/equipment. Officers not in uniform who are required to be equipped with body worn cameras will wear them on a belt clip. Photographs of the body worn camera and where they will be worn on an officer’s uniform/attire appear below for reference.
The use of body worn cameras is a valuable tool to assist our officers in the successful prosecution of criminal cases. In addition, the recordings will also serve to strengthen the trust and transparency our department has with the public by ensuring our officers maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
